BACKER RODS

In accordance with relevant standards (French SNJF and ISO), the joint backing is a material that is laid to limit the depth of the sealant in the joint and to define the back profile of the joint. It stops the sealant from adhering to the three faces of the joint and helps to resist the pressures that occur when apply the sealant. The joint backing must not have any effects that will change the physical and chemical properties, and even the appearance, of the sealant. It can eventually serve as a barrier to separate the sealant for chemical attacks from the bottom side of the joint. The joint backing is used as a permanent formwork when applying a sealant or any other finish. It is used to limit the depth of sealant that is applied. It is recommended for use with the following sealants: silicone, polyurethane, polysulphide, acrylic. Recommended by SNJF (French institute for the classification of plastic and elastomeric sealants) as air and water seal in construction, as well as a seal in formworks. Grey closed-cell polyethylene foam. Available in diameters from 10 mm to 100 mm, supplied in coils or in length according the the diameter used. Grey foam supplied in coils or lengths. BUTYL STRIP

Veda's butyl strip is a cold adhesive strip made up of an adhesive butyl backed by an aluminium-reinforced polyester film. The adhesive face is protected by a peel-off silicone backing and offers an excellent tear resistance. The butyl strip provides a water and vapour barrier. It is recommended for the repair of membrane tears or holes as well as the protection of mechanical joint anchors.

MEMBRANE VED'EPDM

VED'EPDM membranes are bonded at both sides of expansion joints using our VedEPDM adhesives. They provide an effective barrier and can work in combination with any other waterproofing system. They are generally used below our fire barriers or below our joint covers and mechanical joints. Their high elasticity and the wide range of widths available allow their use in expansion joints of any size. They can work with drainage systems for the water that is collected. plain surface VED'EPDM elastomeric membrane Available widths from 50 mm to 1 m. Roll length of 30.5 m. VED'EPDM GLUE

The VedEPDM EP 95 adhesive is intended for bonding and joining plain-surface EPDM membrane (EPDM-S). VedEPDM EP 95 is a solvent-based contact adhesive of high strength suitable for fast application. It is specially formulated for application by roll and /or broad brush. The time it remains tacky allows its application once to large surfaces. The contact adhesive VedEPDM EP95 is intended for use on concrete and for joining EPDM membranes. Apply the adhesive with a brush or a roll on the substrate and on the membrane, and wait several minutes. Then join the two parts covered with the adhesive, running a roll to ensure a good bond and the removal of air bubbles (see our installation instructions). Solvent-based synthetic rubber adhesive. Pot of 3.78 litres. Black adhesive. Also available in aqueous solution (on request). The contact adhesive VedEPDM EP95 is intended for use on concrete and for joining EPDM membranes. Pure epoxy resin sealant for use on reinforcement bar in concrete construction joints and for different bonds. Easy and quick to extrude. Very strong bond. Use on reinforcement bars in concrete construction joints and in various bonding applications (membranes, sections...). Quick adherence and without contraction. Easy to extrude. Special formulation for hot climate. Clean thoroughly the base material before applying the product. Two-component cartridge, without styrene. Cartridges of 400 ml in box of 12 cartridges. Grey paste. Special two-cartridge gun for the application of the product. Use on reinforcement bars in concrete construction joints and in various bonding applications (membranes, sections...). Quick adherence and without contraction. Easy to extrude. Special formulation for hot climate. Clean thoroughly the base material before applying the product.

VEDAFLEX SIL

VEDAFLEX SIL is a one-component silicone sealant of low modulus of elasticity and neutral cross-linkage. It vulcanises in contact with atmospheric moisture and forms a rubber that is extremely flexible and resistant. Non-corrosive, it does not produce substances with a strong odour. VEDAFLEX SIL has the SNJF mark as a 1st category product for use on glass, aluminium and concrete without primer. VEDAFLEX SIL has excellent adherence to most of the common construction materials: glass, concrete, aluminium, PVC, etc. Recommended mainly for: - Sealing joints between concrete and structural elements. - Sealing joints around timber, metal and PVC fixtures. - Joints in light and heavy prefabrications. - Sealing joints in curtain walls. - Any application where an odourless sealant is required. - Sealed joints in industry (refrigeration, air conditioning, clean rooms...). Joints that use VEDAFLEX SIL must not be painted over. One-component silicone sealant. Cartridges of 310 ml in box of 24 cartridges. Grey paste. Manual or electric gun available on request. WATERSTOP BAE AD/AA

Our expansion joint waterstop products are available in nitrile or flexible PVC (Vedaflex), elastomers which display different characteristics. Nitrile waterstops are characterised by a higher breaking point when stretched, excellent resistance to chemical agents as well as to ageing, and permanent elasticity that is comparable to that of rubber. Welded joints are thus very easy to produce. Flexible PVC waterstops offer an economical solution, as they are made from basic but nonetheless high quality raw materials.

ANTISLIP ADHESIVE TAPES
