Generally installed by mechanical means, they are drilled and countersunk in one side every 400 mm, i.e. 7 holes per 3-m bar. Flat joint covers have a W reference, whilst angle joint covers have an EW reference; this is followed by a number that indicates the visible width in millimetres of the joint cover.
